Summer Academy

Born 2008-2013
Challenge. Independence. Discovery.

From academic enrichment and Grade 9 prep to credit courses and outdoor leadership, Lakefield’s Summer Academy for high school students offers immersive, confidence-building programs in a stunning natural setting. Whether campers are pushing their academic goals, trying something new, or meeting peers from around the world, they’ll gain skills, self-awareness, and memories to last a lifetime.

Why Campers Love Our Summer Academy Programs

At Lakefield’s Summer Academy, campers deepen their independence and build real-world skills. Some are getting ahead in a course, others are preparing for Grade 9 or exploring new passions. With small-group learning, meaningful mentorship, and plenty of time outdoors, students gain confidence, friendships, and a stronger sense of who they are and where they’re going.

Choose Your Own Path

Pursue your goals. Find your people. Whether you're getting ahead in your coursework, preparing for high school, or exploring new passions, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow. Campers choose from enrichment and credit offerings delivered in day, overnight, or online formats.

For in-person programs, learning is only part of the experience. After classes, campers connect with peers through outdoor activities, shared meals, and evening adventures. These take place either on our beautiful lakefront campus or, for travel programs, during unforgettable off-campus excursions.

Afternoons bring the community together with shared outdoor adventures, from waterfront recreation and field games to creative projects and fun with friends.
